MyWay is a shareware utility that can help cyclists, joggers, runners, and all sorts of people that practice sports to calculate the number or meters or miles in their particular routes.
To calculate a distance, we need to have a map saved to the Maps folder of this application (in JPEG format). We can scan a personal map, take a JPEG screenshot from an Internet map source (such as Google Maps, for example), or copy a map from another program. After we have opened a map or created a new one, we need to specify the required units (meter/miles, etc.) and select the starting point and the final point of our route on the map (we are allowed to draw any types of routes and include as many intermediate stops as we like). After that, we will be able to view a graph displaying the distance, height, and elevation. We can also view all the collected data in a diagram that represents our route. The results can be saved and even printed.
The evaluation version is very limited; and we can only work with two maps/routes (our own route and the sample one). If by any reason we make a mistake in this trial version, we are not allowed to open the same map again and re-enter the parameters to calculate the distance correctly. The program is supposed to be multilingual, but some words are still in German.
